The Franklin County Tourism Board a nonprofit organization is a division of the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce.
The mission of the Franklin County Tourism Board is to encourage tourism in the Franklin County area through the promotion of the area as a destination for day and overnight visitors.
Funding of the Franklin County Tourism Board is made possible through hotel/motel funds received from the City of Hampton and Franklin County.
The Board of Directors for the Franklin County Tourism Board shall be composed of nine members representing a cross-section of business, meeting, and tourism industry in Franklin County. Two nonvoting, ex-officio members are the City Administrator of Hampton or designee and a Franklin County Supervisor. The Executive Director of the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce is the staff member.
